'The Lord added to the church daily': are the words 'to the church' accurate?
A comparatively small number of ancient -- but by no means wholly reliable -- Greek manuscripts omit the words 'to the church' from Acts 2.47, but the great majority of manuscripts contain them. Why, then, do some translations omit them?
